The Detroit Pistons have made a roster move on Wednesday. According to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, the team has waived Tosan Evbuomwan. The sophomore small forward could get claimed or hit the free agency market.
The Pistons now have a full squad, with one player taking the 15th spot on the standard roster while the others join Jared Rhoden as Detroit’s two-way players.
The Detroit Pistons signed forward Tosan Evbuomwan to a 10-day contract on Monday. Evbuomwan, who will turn 23 on Friday, made his NBA debut Feb. 2 on a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies.
The 6-foot-8 forward had a productive collegiate career at Princeton.

Tosan Evbuomwan was an integral part of Princeton’s Cinderella run to the Sweet 16 – and has since attracted attention from NBA teams. In large part because of how Evbuomwan marshaled the 15-seed Tiger’s offense under coach Mitch Henderson. Now Evbuomwan looks to have his name called at the NBA draft.
Following three seasons at Princeton, Evbuomwan has made it clear he’s ready for the next step in his basketball journey. The British forward has been highly productive for quite some time now, but really got to showcase his skills on the big stage during Princeton’s recent Sweet 16 run.
Princeton leading scorer and former Ivy League Player of the Year Tosan Evbuomwan has declared for the 2023 NBA Draft. Evbuomwan had one year of eligibility remaining, just not at Princeton; Ivy League policy prohibits postgraduate players.
