Five-star quarterback recruit Jared Curtis has decommitted from Georgia, and he has some other schools he is now considering.

Curtis, who is from Nashville, Tenn., shared a note via his X profile on Thursday in which he announced the news of his commitment change.

“The recruiting process has been an exciting time and a huge learning experience for me," Curtis wrote in part. "I am especially thankful to the coaches at Georgia for their belief in me and for treating me and my family with so much love and support from day one."

He then further explained his thought process.

“This morning I spoke with Coach Smart and Coach Bobo and let them know that I still love Georgia," he wrote, "but would like to take some more time to explore all my options so I can make the best, most informed decision for my future."

Curtis had been committed to Georgia since March. 247Sports’ composite ratings have Curtis listed as the No. 6 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class. The Nashville Christian School junior quarterback is listed as the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the class.

Curtis appears to now be considering Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oregon, South Carolina and USC.
