The Florida Panthers celebrated their first Stanley Cup victory on Tuesday night, opening the 2024-25 regular season with a banner raising.
The Panthers have been one of the league's top teams over the past three years, winning a Presidents' Trophy (best record in the regular season) and reaching back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals, winning one of them.
Now they finally have the banner to prove it forever.

When the game got underway, the Panthers wasted little time in showing why they are still one of the best teams in the league, scoring two goals in the first 12 minutes of the first period against the Boston Bruins.
Sam Bennett started the scoring by jamming in a loose puck right in front of the goal crease.

Along with the first two goals, the Panthers also recorded 14 of the first 17 shots on goal in the game and looked like a team that was fired up and ready to play.
The Bruins looked like a team that was struggling to keep up.
