San Francisco 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel notched his first receiving touchdown of the 2024 campaign against the Seattle Seahawks on "Thursday Night Football," making history in the process.

With 13:30 remaining in the second quarter, QB Brock Purdy connected on a deep pass to Samuel, who broke loose for a 76-yard score. According to NFL Research, the 49ers pass catcher is the first WR in the league's history to post 20 or more rushing and receiving touchdowns in their career.

San Francisco unsurprisingly tried integrating Samuel into the run and pass game during the first half on Thursday night. The 28-year-old ended the half with 87 yards off two catches (four targets), adding 14 rushing yards (three carries).

Samuel's score was the only touchdown of the opening half on Thursday night. But the 49ers may have to lean on him even more in the second half.

San Francisco leads Seattle 16-3 at the break, off the back of Samuel's TD and three Matthew Wright field goals. However, it may have lost running back Jordan Mason, who is questionable to return with a shoulder injury after rushing for 65 yards (eight carries) in the first half.

Regardless, Samuel continues to be a thorn in the Seahawks' side. Over seven meetings, he's now surpassed 87 receiving yards in five of them, and his four touchdowns against Seattle are the six-year pro's most against any team.
