Patriots' Christian Gonzalez earns more praise from this All-Pro WR

One New England Patriots cornerback continues to earn praise from an All-Pro wide receiver. 

Tyreek Hill took to Snapchat to praise Christian Gonzalez for his performance against the Miami Dolphins.

"This young corner is next up top 3 easily," Hill said. 

Hill and the Dolphins had a mediocre performance in their 15-10 win over New England. The wide receiver only tallied six catches for 69 yards while failing to score. When Gonzalez covered Hill, he limited the All-Pro to two receptions for 34 yards on five targets.

This is not the first time that Hill has given Gonzalez a shoutout as after a game in September 2023, Hill was also pleasant towards the then-rookie after Gonzalez held both Hill and fellow Miami wideout Jaylen Waddle to just three catches for 32 yards.

“I was able to go against the rookie. He’s real good,” Hill said. “Very lengthy corner. Had some real good technique and speed about him. They’ve got some real good pieces over there in New England, man.”

Gonzalez is one of the lone bright spots for the Patriots this season. The second-year corner tallied his first interception of the season against the Dolphins last week. 

With New England naming Drake Maye the starting quarterback, a youth movement is taking place in Foxboro. Gone are the days of veteran players such as Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski leading the way. Now, Rhamondre Stevenson, Ja'Lynn Polk, Maye and Gonzalez will try to lead the way.

While the 2024 season might already be down for the count, the future is bright in New England. If the Patriots continue to select players of Gonzalez's caliber, they could return to the playoffs in the near future.
