Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Chris Godwin continues to prove he's one of the most underrated players at his position.
The Buccaneers desperately needed to pick up a first down in the third quarter of Sunday's divisional clash with the Spencer Rattler-led New Orleans Saints, but Godwin had his sights set much higher.
On 2nd-and-5, while the Buccaneers trailed 27-24, QB Baker Mayfield threw a check-down pass to Godwin. The Penn State product promptly juked out Saints linebacker Willie Gay Jr. before breaking multiple tackles on his way to the end zone for a 55-yard go-ahead touchdown.

The touchdown reception marked the second of the game for Godwin, who had a four-yard score in the first quarter to get the Buccaneers on the board. The second scoring strike gave him 11 catches for 125 yards on the day.
Additionally, it was Tampa Bay's first 50-yard touchdown of the season, as pointed out by Buccaneers senior writer and editor Scott Smith.

Godwin has been consistently dependable for the Buccaneers since being selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, though his role has changed this season and he's enjoying more production as a result.
The 28-year-old entered Sunday's action ranked fourth in the NFL in receptions (32) and eighth in receiving yards (386). His five touchdowns to begin 2024 are already as many as he had in the last two seasons combined.
