Four-star QB Blake Hebert flips from Clemson to Notre Dame

Class of 2025 four-star quarterback Blake Hebert had been committed to Clemson for over a year, but that pledge is no more.

Not only has Hebert decommitted from Clemson, but he also announced his commitment to a different program: Notre Dame.

“I’d like to start by thanking the Clemson coaching staff as well as the program itself for all they have done for me. With that being said, I have chosen to withdraw my commitment and will spend my next 4 years at another institution,” Hebert wrote on X late Monday afternoon.

He didn't wait long to let the cat out of the bag, quickly announcing his commitment to Notre Dame:

Until this point, Hebert and Notre Dame appeared to be a bit star-crossed. He received an offer from the Fighting Irish in June of 2023, but shortly after, he committed to Dabo Swinney and Clemson.

Notre Dame then went forward with five-star quarterback Deuce Knight, but when Knight flipped to Auburn early in October, that re-opened the door for Hebert and Notre Dame as the Fighting Irish reportedly made him their top quarterback target.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Hebert, from Greenwich, Conn., is the 29th-ranked quarterback in the 2025 class. Notre Dame's pledge group is now ranked 13th nationally
