Just last week, in the wake of former head coach Robert Saleh's firing, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson pleaded with linebacker Haason Reddick during a news conference to end his lengthy holdout. Johnson said that despite the contentious, monthslong drama, Gang Green would welcome the two-time Pro Bowler into the fold with open arms.
Now, under new representation, Reddick has reportedly been given an ultimatum regarding a possible end to the situation.
Curious to see how this Haason Reddick situation unfolds. New agent Drew Rosenhaus was in the building last night and spoke to Joe Douglas. Rosenhaus is known as a deal maker and likes to move quickly. I don’t think he took on Reddick to have a long, drawn-out process. #Jets

The Jets have given Haason Reddick and his reps a short window to seek a trade, per sources. His new representation, Drew Rosenhaus, has been reaching out to teams over the last 12 hours to gauge interest.

Multiple Jets insiders said on Tuesday morning that they were skeptical of a potential trade occurring.
It is hard to imagine Reddick having much of a trade market but we’ll see if Rosenhaus can get something done https://t.co/QwLA4ypIKU

We’ll see what the #Jets can get here, if anything. Important to remember: They got him him for a conditional pick in two years for a reason https://t.co/6rxl3EY1Ml

While Reddick was one of the league's best pass-rushers during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, he's also turned into one of New York's biggest headaches in an organization filled with them.
The 30-year-old was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Jets on March 29 and, more than six months later, still hasn't reported to the team.
According to a report by ESPN's Rich Cimini, Reddick lives roughly 90 minutes from the Jets' training facility and has been fined approximately $4.7M in game checks and accrued another $5M in NFL-mandated fines.
The Jets (2-4) started 2-1 but have now lost three in a row and have the seventh-ranked defense (18.0 points allowed per game).
Despite having offensive stars like wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall alongside four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the unit has scored just 18.8 points per contest (22nd).
The offense could be getting a huge boost, however, as it was reported on Tuesday morning that New York was finalizing a trade to acquire six-time Pro Bowl wideout Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.
