Minnesota Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson joined a very rare club on Tuesday night when he became just the 15th different goalie in NHL history to be credited with a goal in an NHL game.
It happened late in the Wild's 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues as he shot the puck the length of the ice into the empty net.
Have a look.

It's a GOALIE GOAL pic.twitter.com/7lx14FyIfb
The 15 different goalies to score goals have accounted for 18 goals all-time with Ron Hextall (two) and Martin Brodeur (three) each scoring multiple goals.
Of those 18 goals, Gustavsson's is just the 11th on which the goalie actually shot the puck into the net with a shot on goal.
The other seven goalie goals were own-goals scored by teams where the goalie just happened to be the last person to touch the puck, meaning they were credited with the goal.
Gustavsson is the first Wild goalie to ever score a goal. Prior to Gustavsson, the most recent goalie goal in the NHL was scored by Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry during the 2023-24 season (Nov. 30, 2023, against the Tampa Bay Lightning).
The funny thing about Gustavsson scoring a goal is that his teammate, Marc-Andre Fleury, has made it known that he wants to score a goal at some point in his NHL career. On Tuesday, he had to watch Gustavsson do it.
