Kevin Owens is heading for a collision course with Cody Rhodes. The former friends appear at loggerheads following The American Nightmare's decision to team with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Fans caught Owens on camera attacking Rhodes after the event had ended.
On Friday's episode of Smackdown, Owens attempted to share his reasoning with the WWE Universe. However, his microphone was quickly cut off, removing his opportunity to explain himself.
As such, Owens has taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to give WWE an ultimatum. He claims he has sent them a video that should be played and was hoping they would have run the footage during Monday's episode of RAW. Now, he is giving them until Smackdown to share his side of the story; otherwise, he claims he will post it directly to X.
"Since Bad Blood, there's been a lot of questions about why I did what I did to Cody," Owens said. "There's been a lot of judgments, too...Over the weekend, I sent them a video that I hoped they would air on RAW last night, and they didn't. So, nobody could hear what I had to say. But, of course, they had plenty of time for Cody to talk, but not for me...I'm giving them until this Friday on Smackdown to air my video...If they don't, then I guess I'll post it here."

In addition to his issue with Rhodes, Owens may find himself in hot water with Randy Orton after attacking him backstage on Smackdown. Orton tried to cool the feud between his two friends, yet Owens saw it as choosing sides.
Owens is reportedly nearing the end of his current deal with WWE. If he leaves the company, AEW will likely be interested. This storyline could position him for a shot at the Universal Championship and a significant push leading up to Wrestlemania and beyond.
In recent months, WWE has been incredibly fluid in disseminating its stories. Whether that means Owens sharing his side of events on social media is part of their plans remains to be seen. Nevertheless, there's no doubt that this is building to something bigger. Unfortunately, we may have to wait a bit longer to see how everything begins to play out.
