With just days to go before the start of the season, Anthony Edwards is going viral for non-basketball reasons. In a viral video, the Timberwolves star can be seen rubbing shoulders with Lil Durk, the former partner of his new baby momma, Ayesha.

Edwards, 23, was seen hanging with his close friend, Kevin Durant during the encounter. They only embraced for a few seconds before going their separate ways, but the tension was palpable and you could practically feel the awkwardness through the screen.
The man on the other side is Lil Durk, a 31-year-old rapper from Chicago who has gone platinum 12 times over his career. His latest track, "All My Life," won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance. Lil Durk has no ties to the NBA... other than his fling with Ayesha Howard.
Howard was Dirk's first baby momma and now she's claiming that her latest child belongs to Anthony Edwards. The Timberwolves star clearly has doubts about his relationship to the baby and he's filed a motion to identify the father through DNA testing.
Of course, this isn't the first time that Edwards has welcomed a new child. The NBA superstar has multiple children to several different mothers, one of which was featured on his Netflix show 'Starting 5' when he left at halftime to witness the birth of his daughter.
In the case of Ayesha Howard and her unborn child, there's been nothing to disprove the claim that Edwards is the dad and it means that he'll have to be ready to pitch in and cover his share, just Lil Durk is doing with his son.
Whether Edwards planned it or not, this is his new reality now and only time will tell how he'll rise to the occasion of providing for his growing family. After signing a 5-year, $260 million deal this summer money surely won't be an issue for Edwards but finding the time to help raise his young children could prove challenging.
As the face of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Edwards is the center of everything they do and he'll have to be fully engaged in the process for them to have any success in the West this year. The 2023-24 campaign was a great breakthrough for the team and they made history with a run to the West Finals.
This time, they'll need to be even better in order to keep up with the rising competition. In the wake of the Karl-Anthony Towns trade, Edwards is going to have to take on a bigger load than ever for the Timberwolves and the margin for error will be slim.
With a growing family, it will be harder than ever for Edwards to stay focused and avoid distractions this season. But with so much at stake, Edwards is ready to take on the challenge and he has faith that the Timberwolves are good enough to get it done.
The only thing left for Edwards is to sort through his family drama so he can finally take up his place as the face of the NBA.
