Angels Roster: A First Projection Of the 2025 Opening Day 26-Man Roster
Kiyoshi Mio-Imagn Images

The Los Angeles Angels are preaching optimism heading into the 2024-25 offseason. For the first time in a while, they feel they have a promising young core to build around, are hopeful to get a healthy Mike Trout back in action and could have some spending power this offseason.

But there are many decisions to be made between now and when the Angels take the field for the first time in 2025. Free agency and trades are going to be a more useful tool than they were last season, when owner Arte Moreno looked to cut costs.

So perhaps October, with the 2024 postseason just underway, may be a little early to project what 2025 will look like for the Angels. But in doing so, it becomes clearer to see where the holes are, and which ones can be filled by minor league prospects and which ones the Angels will have to look for externally.

Some things are obvious. Logan O’Hoppe, Zach Neto, Nolan Schanuel, Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon are going to be on the Opening Day Roster. As are Jose Soriano, Ben Joyce and Jack Kochanowicz. It becomes slightly intriguing from there, as trades for Major League players and promotions could open or close doors.

Below is a much-too-early prediction at what the Angels are going to bring out onto the field in March of 2025.
