From 2015 to 2021, Joc Pederson was a postseason fixture, winning World Series titles with the Dodgers in 2020 and the Braves in 2021, while also making two additional trips to the Fall Classic. However, Pederson has now missed the playoffs in three consecutive seasons, twice with the Giants, and once with the D-backs.

Following the Diamondbacks’ elimination from postseason contention, Pederson addressed the media about his future in Arizona. He is currently under a one-year deal with the team, with a club option for 2025.

In 2024, Pederson enjoyed a strong offensive season, hitting a career-high .275 with 23 home runs—his highest total since 2019. His .908 OPS also set a new personal best, as he primarily filled the designated hitter role.

Speaking with PHNX Sports‘ Jesse Friedman, when asked if he would want to return to Arizona for another year, Pederson responded with: “Yeah, I loved my time here. It was a great experience, great clubhouse, great coaches, great front office. It was a really good experience for me.”

Pederson has also been named an All-MLB Team nominee for the first time in his career. As a two-time All-Star, he is expected to draw interest from several competitive teams this offseason.
