The Arizona Diamondbacks have five players nominated for the 2024 All-MLB Team. Fans now have the opportunity to vote on their selections, which will contribute 50% of the total tally, with the other 50% coming from a panel of experts.
Here are the D-backs nominees:
Corbin Carroll (OF) – Carroll, in his second full season, proved that his Rookie of the Year campaign was no fluke. The young outfielder rebounded after a slow start and ended the season with 22 home runs and 25 stolen bases, marking his 2nd year in the 20/30 club.
Ketel Marte (2B) – Marte once again showcased his value as one of the top second basemen in baseball. Finishing the season with 36 home runs, Marte will likely finish in the top-five National League MVP voting.
Joc Pederson (DH) – Pederson, signed as a free agent last offseason, proved to be a major asset in the lineup. His .908 OPS and 23 home runs were key contributions to making Arizona’s offense the best in baseball.
Eugenio Suárez (3B) – Suárez brought consistency at the hot corner, hitting 30 home runs for the third time in four seasons. After the All-Star break, there was no hotter hitter than Suárez, who drove in his 100th RBI of the year in the final game.
Christian Walker (1B) – Walker enjoyed another standout year at first base, both offensively and defensively. With over 30 home runs and a reputation as one of the league’s best defensive first basemen, the D-backs have a tough decision this offseason as Walker is now a free agent.
In the rest of the National League, the Padres lead with nine nominees, followed by the Dodgers with seven, the Giants with three, and the Rockies with two
The Padres and Phillies led the league in nominees with nine.
