You can watch the New York Mets from just about anywhere with live TV streaming services, though local fans will get most of the action unless they sign up for MLB TV.
Here's how to catch games this season.
The New York Mets air on more channels than many other teams, so their fans should consider themselves spoiled for choice when it comes to game coverage. Most games air on SportsNet New York (SNY) and WPIX, the latter of which is the local The CW channel. You can also find nationally broadcast games on several channels.

DIRECTV STREAM is the best place to watch the Mets if you live in and around New York. You’ll be able to watch SNY and WPIX with the platform if you have the Choice, Ultimate or Premier package. These DIRECTV STREAM plans give you 100 channels and up. Even if you’re not in the coverage area for New York Regional Sports Networks (RSNs), you’ll still have access to TBS, ESPN, Fox, Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and MLB Network for Mets games.
DIRECTV STREAM also carries popular channels for other sports. You’ll have NFL Network, NHL Network, NFL RedZone, NBA TV, MotorTrend, CBS Sports Network and Fox Sports 2 (FS2). Collegiate networks include SEC Network, ACC Network and Big Ten Network. DIRECTV STREAM offers unlimited DVR storage in all plans.
Fubo started as a soccer-centric service, and it still maintains a focus on sports content today. While the platform recently lost SNY, it still has WPIX for local New York Mets games. You can also watch games that are broadcast on Fox, FS1, ESPN and MLB Network. The platform doesn’t offer TBS. You can choose between the Pro, Elite and Premier plans.
When baseball is not in season, you’ll still have a lot of sports content at your disposal. Fubo NFL Network, Fox Soccer Plus, ESPNEWS, Big Ten Network, Golf Channel and Court Sports Network. The Sports Lite Add-on has a variety of networks, including MLB TV, NHL Network and NBA TV. You’ll have 1000 hours of cloud DVR storage space with any of the Fubo plans.
Hulu + Live TV is the only streaming platform that gives all customers ESPN Plus. The channel lineup includes locals, including the local CW station, and SNY for customers in the area. In addition to Mets channels and ESPN Plus coverage, you’ll also have MLB Network, TBS, ESPN, Fox and FS1. You can eliminate ads from Hulu’s on-demand library and pay a bit more instead.
Hulu + Live subscribers also get ESPN2, FS2, NFL Network, TNT, Big Ten Network and SEC Network. The Sports Add-on unlocks channels like NFL RedZone, FanDuel TV, FanDuel Racing and Sportsman Channel. Hulu + Live TV has unlimited DVR space.
Sling TV allows you to watch the New York Mets on ESPN, TBS, FS1 and Fox (where local channels are available). You can also watch MLB Network with a sports add-on. Unfortunately, the service doesn’t have RSN broadcasts, so there’s no SNY or WPIX. The Sling Blue package has Fox in some markets, plus TBS and FS1. Sling Orange has ESPN and TBS. You can get the channels in both Sling packages with the Sling Orange & Blue plan. If you get local channels, there is an additional fee.
The Sports Extra add-on packages cost a bit more for Sling Orange and Sling Blue and slightly more than that for the Sling Orange & Blue Sports package. Not only will you get MLB Network with these add-ons, but also MLB Network Strike Zone, NHL Network, NBA TV, Tennis Channel, NFL RedZone and Golf Channel. Sling TV offers 50 hours of DVR storage or 200 hours with DVR Extra.
YouTube TV offers 100+ channels. You can watch the New York Mets on FS1, ESPN, TBS and Fox. Unfortunately, the platform lost the MLB Network a few years ago and it’s still missing from the lineup. That being said, YouTube TV may still be of interest because it has unique features like Key Plays which allows you to catch up on game highlights if you turn on the Mets game late.
Other sports networks on YouTube TV include NFL Network, FS2, MotorTrend, SEC Network, the CBS Sports Network and the Tennis Channel. YouTube TV has a Sports Plus add-on for an additional monthly fee. This extra gives you NFL RedZone, Fox Soccer Plus, Billiard TV, FanDuel TV, Fight Network and more. Plus, during football season, YouTube TV is the only place you can buy the NFL Sunday Ticket. YouTube TV has unlimited DVR storage for all customers.
