DIRECTV STREAM is one of the most robust live TV streaming services. It offers all the channels you need to watch the Yankees. However, to get YES Network, you must subscribe to the Choice Package, which is the second-tier plan. The Choice package has over 125 channels and unlimited cloud DVR storage. The Choice tier and above also comes with MSG, MSG Sportsnet, and SNY channels, allowing you to watch all Knicks, Devils, Islanders, Rangers, Nets and Mets games.
Fubo is also a great option for local Yankees fans because it includes YES Network and almost all channels required to watch nationally broadcast Yankees games. The singular exception is TBS. TBS isn’t included in any of Fubo’s plans.
If you’re a Yankees fan who lives outside the local viewing area, you’ll want to check out Fubo’s Elite package. The Elite plan gives you MLB Network and improved access to Yankees games. You’ll also get ESPNU, NHL Network and NBA TV, just to name a few. All tiers of Fubo come with 10 viewing screens and 1000 hours of Cloud DVR storage space.
Yankees fans outside of New York might also consider Hulu + Live TV as an option. It carries the channels needed for nationally broadcast games, as well as, the MLB Network in its base package. The base plan is a good price, but you can grab Hulu, Disney Plus, and ESPN Plus for just a dollar more. If you hate commercials, it is $89.99 per month for no-ads Hulu and Disney Plus bundle, while ESPN Plus still comes with ads.
Additional perks of Hulu Live + TV include unlimited cloud DVR storage and multiple screens to set the kids and teens up with Disney Plus or Hulu while you watch the game in peace. You’ll also get a good amount of sports coverage with this streamer with channels like SEC Network, Golf Channel, FS2 and more.
If you are an out-of-market fan and on a budget, you may want to consider a Sling TV plan. You will need Sling Orange & Blue, Sling's top-tier plan, to get all of the channels you need for nationally broadcast Yankees games and shell out an extra $15 per month ($11 if added to one of the base packages) to get the Sports Extra add-on for the MLB Network.
A Sling TV plan with the Sports Extra add-on could be a great option if you enjoy sports outside of baseball. This add-on gives you access to a plethora of sports channels to help you catch NFL, NBA, NHL and tennis matchups.
If you only want nationally broadcasted Yankees games, check out YouTube TV. The service is great if you are also a big NFL fan because of their partnership with NFL Sunday Ticket, but the service doesn't carry YES Network or MLB Network, making it difficult for local and out-of-market fans alike to watch Yankees games live on YouTube TV.
However, the service offers over 100 live channels and unlimited DVR space. You can have six profiles on a single account and watch up to three simultaneous screens (more available with an add-on).
Apple TV+ has entered the MLB business. The tech streaming service will stream Friday night doubleheader games throughout the 2024 regular MLB season. Currently, no Yankees games are scheduled on Apple TV+, but they have only released their streaming lineup through the end of June, so you may be able to catch some Yankees action with Apple TV+.
MLB.TV is also an important option for local and out-of-market fans. The service allows you to watch Yankees games and every MLB game live and on-demand. There are blackouts for live streaming in local markets, so New York resident fans will want to make sure they still have access to YES Network if they want to watch live, but MLB.TV is a great option if you miss a game or need to catch up.
MLB.TV subscriptions cost $149.99 per year or $29.99 per month. You can also add it to your Prime Video subscription easily. MLB.TV comes with exclusive shows like "Big Inning" and access to the At Bat service, which allows you to listen to every MLB game live or on-demand.
If you are in New York, you can find the game on YES Network (or Amazon Prime Video for games on Wednesday). You will need the MLB Network or MLB.TV if you are outside of New York to be able to watch.
You will need a Prime Video subscription to watch Yankees games on the streaming service. Subscription plans are as low as $8.49 per month or $7.99 per month for students.
Yankees fans outside of New York will want a live TV streaming service that carries MLB Network to catch games. New York residents will want to check out DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo when looking for YES Network. Currently, Amazon Prime Video is the streaming service that will host the most Yankees games in the 2024 season.
