The Jets and Patriots both enter week 3 at 1-1. Despite their shared win-loss records, the teams aren’t on totally equal footing. The New York Jets have Rogers back under center with 343 yards on the season and running back Breece Hall is averaging about 4.5 yards per run. Meanwhile, Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett has yet to break 150 yards in a single game and the team just lost LB Ja'Whaun Bentley to a potentially season-ending pec injury.

Still, the New England Patriots are running the ball well, and the game could come down to a single score. The Jets have the hometown advantage, though they still had a losing record there last season. The Patriots actually fared better away than at home during the 2023-2024 season.

Since this game kicks off the week on Thursday Night Football, it will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime. If you have a Prime subscription, Prime Video is free to you. New users can take advantage of a 30-day free trial to watch the next four TNF games without paying a dime.

New England vs. New York Jets predictions

The ESPN spread puts the Jets in favor of the Patriots by 6.5 points. That being said, Ben Solak of ESPN thinks that the Patriots will be able to cover the spread by sticking to their ground game against a shaky Jets run defense. The money line for total points sits at 37.5 points and the Football Power Index puts the chances of the Jets winning at about 67 percent. If you need a new RB on your fantasy team, consider adding Braelon Allen to your bench. He is looking to offer more relief to Hall moving forward and would be first in line to become RB1 in the case of a Hall injury.
