This week, the Miami Dolphins will welcome the Tennessee Titans to South Florida in the first game of a Monday Night Football doubleheader. The Titans came out on top in their last meeting, beating the Dolphins 28-27 and knocking Miami out of their top spot in the AFC. That game was also the last win for TItans quarterback Will Levis, who has now lost his last five starts.
Neither team has gotten off to a good start so far this season, with Miami (1-2) dropping last week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee (0-3) losing at home against the Green Bay Packers.
Even though it’s only Week 4, it’s already been a dramatic year for the Miami Dolphins. Before the first game of the season even kicked off, wide receiver Tyreek Hill was detained by police while on his way to Hard Rock Stadium. Later, the team rallied to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first — and, so far, only — win of the season. The following week, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went down against the Buffalo Bills, suffering his third documented concussion in the past several years. Tagovailoa’s backup, Skylar Thompson, sustained a chest injury in Week 3, leaving the Fins’ QB situation unclear as they prepare to take on the Titans.
It’s been a rocky start to the season for the Tennessee Titans as well. Heading into Week 4, the team has yet to win a game — which makes Brian Callahan the first Titans head coach in 15 years to go 0-3 in his first three games. Tennessee’s offense leads the league in turnovers, with eight committed through three games (all of them by Levis). And now, after last week’s loss to Green Bay, the team is in the second-to-last spot on Sports Illustrated’s NFL power rankings. While Levis has taken heat over his performance thus far, Tennessee’s struggling offensive line is also at fault for many of the team’s issues.
Clearly, the Dolphins and the Titans both have a lot to prove in Monday’s matchup. If you’re thinking about tuning in or betting on the game, here’s what you need to know.

Based on the odds, Monday’s Titans/Dolphins game looks to be a close, low-scoring affair.
According to ESPN, Tennessee opened as 0.5-point favorites in Miami, but things have since changed. Now, with the news that veteran cornerback Chidobe Awuzie will miss several weeks with a groin injury, the Dolphins are 1-point favorites at home.
ESPN also shows that the over/under opened (and remains) at 36.5, and the moneyline for each team is -110.
Of course, these odds could continue shifting as the week goes on — especially as we learn more about Miami’s quarterback situation.
