NHL teams have already been hitting the ice in pre-season and the Rangers are looking to outdo their performance from last season. The Rangers won the Presidents' Trophy for the best regular-season record, but the Florida Panthers stopped their run of glory in the Eastern Conference finals, and then went on to win the Stanley Cup. However, the Rangers seem up to the task after beating both the Boston Bruins and the New York Islanders in their first pre-season games.

They currently sit at the top of the Metropolitan Division with wins and goals, but they need to keep the momentum going into the official season. The Rangers picked up Penguins forward Reilly Smith in July, but haven't made any other significant changes to their lineup. While trade rumors were rampant this summer, captain Jacob Trouba seems to be staying in place. Trouba told ESPN earlier in September that he thinks this is the last year this current roster of the Rangers has to bring the Stanley Cup home.

"In all likelihood, this will probably be the last crack for this core. I don't think that's a secret by any means. So we're a group that's kind of grown together. We spent some years together here, and we have something we want to accomplish," he said.

Here is how you can watch the New York Rangers make their play for the cup in the 2024-25 NHL season.
