Denver Broncos' odds to beat New Orleans Saints in primetime just got a little better

After a big-time win over the Las Vegas Raiders, the Denver Broncos fell back down to earth, as they lost to the Los Angeles Chargers in a game that they should have won, but the offense was far too stagnant all game long.

The offense has been the issue for the Broncos this year, and there is no hiding that. The defense has largely carried this team, and, that doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

It would be silly of me, or anyone, to think that the Broncos would have an elite offense this week all of a sudden when it's really never looked elite all year long.

They scored 30-plus against the Raiders because of the defense, who scored a touchdown for them but also put them in a great field position with a few turnovers. The defense has been elite this year, one of the best in the league, and now, they are only going to get better.

On Thursday Night Football, they are set to face the New Orleans Saints, head coach Sean Payton's former team that he won a Super Bowl with. They are good and have beaten some pretty good teams this year. But, the Broncos' odds just got raised a bit after some recent news.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Broncos are activating defensive end and edge rusher Baron Browning, who is easily the best edge rusher on the team. He was injured in Week 2 and has been out since.

This is only going to help boost the Broncos' odds of winning even more. Their defense is going to look to stop a Saints offense that is good, but coming off a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Browning could make an instant impact in his first game back.
