The New York Liberty are one of the WNBA’s charter franchises, but have yet to win a title.
They’ve reached the WNBA Finals five times, but have been unable to seal the deal.
Well, they’re now just one win away after a dramatic Game 3 win over the Minnesota Lynx. Sabrina Ionescu drilled a 3 with just one second left to hand New York the 80-77 victory. The Liberty rallied from 15 points down to put themselves on the precipice of earning that long elusive ring. It was also fitting that Ionescu hit the game-winning shot after she was shockingly snubbed earlier in the day from the All-WNBA First-Team.
The Liberty are up 2-1 in the series with a chance to close it out Friday in Minnesota. They’re 2.5-point favorites at BetMGM with a vig of -115 while the Lynx are -105 to cover. New York is -155 on the moneyline while the Lynx are +130.
Meanwhile, the Liberty are a massive -1000 favorite to win the best-of-five series, while Minnesota is +650 to win its fifth WNBA title.
