One NHL team is reportedly already thinking about ditching their General Manager

When you think about some of the worst-run teams in the entire NHL, the Buffalo Sabres should absolutely be on that list.

The team has stunk for years and has not made the postseason in over a decade. The fans want a reason to cheer, but simply put, they are not being given one. It has been pretty sad to witness and there is no doubt that the Buffalo faithful are fed up.

Well, change could be coming sometime soon. According to The Sabre Report on X, there are rumblings that the team could very well decide to fire their General Manager, Kevyn Adams.

"On Saturday's episode of "The Hot Stove" on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio with Ryan Paton, Dennis Bernstein and yours truly, I mentioned there is noise surrounding the Buffalo Sabres.

To reiterate: if things fall off the rails in Buffalo this month, there is some chatter making the rounds of a GM change. My understanding is the Sabres have someone in mind for the position, but that doesn't mean Kevyn Adams will be shown the door. If a new GM is brought in, Adams is expected to move up to a higher managerial title.

The Sabres got a much-needed win on Saturday, but let's see how the rest of the month unfolds."

The Sabres may have no choice here in a bit. The team has been a disaster for years and the fans have had enough of it. However, change does not happen overnight. Even with all of the draft capital this team has amassed, it feels like there roster is always five years away from being five years away.
