Throughout the last few months, Toronto Maple Leafs fans have been hoping for some kind of big trade from Brad Treliving.
Since coming into the Leafs organization, Treliving has yet to make a blockbuster deal. Fans have been wanting to see it happen but it just has not come to fruition. With Timothy Liljegren looking to be traded out of Toronto, there seems to be a new hope that the team can finally get that massive traded started. However, there are some doubts that Liljegren will attract a blockbuster return.
Interestingly enough, at last night's game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Leafs, there were scouts from 14 NHL teams in attendance. In fact, Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill was even at the game. This has sparked a ton of speculation about whether or not a trade is in the works.
Other than trade rumors, last night was a good one for the Toronto Maple Leafs. They defeated the Los Angeles Kings by a score of 6-2. Furthermore, they got some amazing production out of Auston Matthews as he finally got his first goal of the season. He also added two assists for a three-point night.
It was a good evening all around for the Maple Leafs and we're sure their fans feel the exact same way right about now. Only time will tell if this Leafs team can overcome history to go out and win a Stanley Cup.
