Patrik Laine gives Habs fans an unfortunate update on his injury

Patrik Laine was trying to have a huge comeback season with the Montreal Canadiens but it has been put on hold thanks to a sprained knee.

As you can imagine, this injury to Laine broke the hearts of a lot of fans out there. However, Laine is looking to show people that he can still play a high level in the NHL. It is not going to be an easy task, but he is committed to prove that he can be the 40-goal scorer he once was with the likes of Winnipeg Jets.

It is believed that Laine will be able to return to the ice in early 2025. This means that while Laine is not going to be taking to the ice anytime soon, he will get to play the second half of the year. However, in a new Instagram post, Laine admitted that things aren't 100 percent right now.

'Knee is hurting but suit game is still cooking'

With the injury in mind, Laine still has a lot of confidence right now, which is always good to see. You never want to see a player lose their mojo because of an injury. Clearly, that is not the case with Laine right now. However, he still needs to be careful as to not aggravate his injury.

We sincerely wish Laine nothing but the best in his recovery. He is a dynamite player when of sound body and mind and we would love for him to prove the naysayers wrong, once and for all.
