Young Montreal Canadiens defenseman, Logan Mailloux, has ultimately received two pieces of bad news following his assignment to the Laval Rocket.
It was the excellent Anthony Marcotte who revealed this on BPM Sports, as he revisited Mailloux's recent weeks.
At the beginning of the month, Logan Mailloux learned two pieces of bad news.
The first, of course, was his reassignment to the American Hockey League, and the second was that he lost his spot on the Rocket's first power play unit.
He probably thought that his position on the top power play unit would be waiting for him in Laval, but no.
Adam Engstrom earned that spot to start the season.
However, Mailloux responded in the best way possible to these two small setbacks, notably with a 4-point game, and he has regained his place in recent hours.
Internal competition is excellent.
"Did you know that at the start of the season, [Mailloux] wasn't on the first power play? This morning, on BPM Sports, Anthony Marcotte mentioned it during his morning segment."Charles-Alexis Brisebois
In short, note that Mailloux is currently back on the power play, but he knows very well that his spot is far from guaranteed.
With Adam Engstrom, Mailloux now faces competition at the Laval Rocket for critical minutes, and that's a great thing.
For now, Mailloux is responding in the best possible way to the messages being sent to him by the Montreal Canadiens organization, so all of this is very positive in the end.
And you, when do you see Logan Mailloux returning to the Canadiens?
