The Montreal Canadiens have just released an official statement regarding Mike Matheson.

The veteran defenseman is unfortunately injured, and his game is over.

We can expect Lane Hutson to have a larger role for the remainder of the game and throughout Matheson's absence, which (hopefully) will not be too long.
