'I Think You Should Leave'

'I Think You Should Leave'
Netflix

I think you should watch I Think You Should Leave whenever you're not sure what to watch. Sketch shows are always a good idea when you need something lighthearted to kill time, but this one will surely have you hooked. We're all trying to find the perfect show to watch, okay?

'Abbott Elementary'

'Abbott Elementary'

If you have yet to hop on the Abbott Elementary train, well, all aboard! You really can't go wrong with a quick episode (or binge-watching session) of this beloved sitcom.

'Friends'

'Friends'
Warner Bros.

Don't act like you haven't seen Friends at least a hundred times by now. I'm convinced this will be the ultimate comfort show until the end of time. Watch it now, watch it later; it'll be there for you.

'Key & Peele'

'Key & Peele'
Comedy Central

You know you're in good company when they put on some Key & Peele. It's a great way to end an evening with friends or to unwind from a stressful day. May the legend of A-A-Ron never die!

'Parks and Recreation'

'Parks and Recreation'
NBC

Rewatching Parks and Recreation feels like a warm hug. This show holds a special place in so many people's hearts and is never not a good idea. We love it, and we like it.

'New Girl'

'New Girl'
Fox

Ever since New Girl ended in 2018, fans have wanted the cast to reunite in some way, shape, or form. Some would argue that not enough time has passed for a reunion, but they would be wrong. Until then, we'll be rewatching our favorite episodes, aka all of them.

'Cunk on Earth'

'Cunk on Earth'
Netflix

Cunk on Earth will have you laughing no matter your mood, making it the ideal show for any occasion. Need a pick me up? Cunk. Need something to put on in the background? Cunk. Need an educational documentary? Look elsewhere, unless, of course, you're curious about the correlation between historical events and the unrelated Belgian techno anthem "Pump Up the Jam."

'30 Rock'

'30 Rock'
NBC

I know most days, it feels like we're living in the same universe as 30 Rock, but that doesn't mean it's any less of a masterpiece. If anything, it makes the show more relevant than ever. So don't feel bad watching it for the millionth time. Better yet, pair it with some "night cheese" for maximum viewing pleasure.

'Girls5eva'

'Girls5eva'
Netflix

When it comes to watching Girls5eva, there is never a bad time. Fans of 30 Rock or those who remember boy bands and girl groups from the late nineties and early 2000s have, or will soon have, a deep appreciation for this show.

'Sex and the City'

'Sex and the City'
HBO

I had to have seen Sex and the City five times over from the reruns alone, but who hasn't? It's an incredibly easy show to binge and particularly fun to watch with "the girls."

'The Golden Girls'

'The Golden Girls'
NBC

Another great watch with the girls obviously has to be The Golden Girls. It's a timeless classic that is sure to brighten anyone's day. What more is there to say (other than that rhyme being unintentional)?

'Schitt's Creek'

'Schitt's Creek'
CBC Television/Hulu

Sure, you could start that show you've been meaning to watch forever, or you could watch Schitt's Creek again. The choice really isn't all that difficult. This show was such a pleasant surprise that quickly became an unexpected comfort watch for so many.

'Modern Family'

'Modern Family'
ABC

Modern Family had no business being that funny, but then again, I suppose it did, as it ran for 11 seasons. The writing was top-notch, and the cast gave it their all until the end, making it a forever favorite.

14 of 20

'Seinfeld'

'Seinfeld'
NBC

What's better to watch at any time than a show about nothing? It's not only a great choice year-round, but especially this time of year when we're all shifting into soup mode.

'How I Met Your Mother'

'How I Met Your Mother'
CBS

How I Met Your Mother is a reliable comfort watch, at least until the last season. It's consistently funny, so we can't help but get reinvested in these characters (even if Ted is the actual worst).

'Arrested Development'

'Arrested Development'
Netflix

Arrested Development is hands down one of the best sitcoms, which is why you should never feel bad watching it every chance you get. It's given us so many memes and unforgettable quotes, like the always-relevant "I've made a huge mistake."

'The IT Crowd'

'The IT Crowd'
Channel 4

The IT Crowd is an underrated gem that has to be the top pick for all the geeks out there. The show was probably most people's introduction to the absolute legend that is Matt Berry, which in and of itself deserves frequent rewatches.

'Doctor Who'

'Doctor Who'
BBC One/Disney

Introducing your friends to Doctor Who is basically a rite of passage, but trust that it only happens when you're ready. The fandom hits you hard, and the good news is there are so many seasons to choose from that you'll never get bored. Although, I won't judge if you only watch for one or two particular doctors. I'm looking at you, David Tennant and Matt Smith.

'The Office'

'The Office'
NBC

You had to know it was coming. The Office is one of the greatest shows to watch anytime simply because everyone is still always watching it! It is also super quotable, making it all the more fun to watch. Like a sing-along but more annoying. We're all totally here for it.

'SpongeBob SquarePants'

'SpongeBob SquarePants'
Nickelodeon

While nothing compares to the older episodes, any era of SpongeBob SquarePants will certainly do. It has made an everlasting impression on pop culture and especially millennials, making it the number one show you can and should watch anytime.

Shelby Weimer is a content creator and comedy writer based in Brooklyn, New York, who grew up watching and quoting way too many movies, inevitably leading her to earn a film degree (oh no) with a focus on screenwriting. She is well-versed in the world of TV and film production, having worked in just about every role in the entertainment industry, from background actor to producer. Shelby has written for various online publications, including Screen Rant and Vocal Media, but more importantly, her writing was featured on TikTok by comedian Matt Braunger. When she isn’t loving on her cat or working on scripts and sketch ideas, she’s most likely listening to her music a little too loud or watching Love Island. Both? In the words of Tulio and Miguel from the extremely underrated DreamWorks animated film The Road to El Dorado, “Both is good.”
