20 things that scared '90s kids

The ‘90s was arguably the greatest decade in modern history. Well, when asking someone who grew up during that era, being a ‘90s kid meant watching the golden era of Nickelodeon, listening to the best music, and wearing the coolest Looney Tunes gear. It was a glorious time, but there were moments that made it quite frightening, like the toilet from Look Who’s Talking Too or those demented trees that loomed over McDonald’s PlayPlaces. Those are just some things that scared ‘90s kids, so let’s look at the rest.

One of the most ironic things outside of Alanis Morissette in the ‘90s was its relationship with smoking. Cigarette ads were just as constant as the ones telling people not to smoke, but the latter scared so many by showcasing the physical and health impact smoking caused to people.
