The '500 NHL goals club' quiz

The 2024 NHL season is just two weeks old, but Pittsburgh Penguins fans have already made some major history. On Wednesday night veterans Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin both joined exclusive clubs as individuals and teammates in the Penguins 6-5 overtime win over the Buffalo Sabers. Crosby became the 10th member of the 1,600 point club with a first period assist and added another helper in the second. Malkin netted his 500th career goal early in the third period, and Crosby raised his career point total to 1,602 with the game-winning goal.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. The combined brilliance, longevity and loyalty Malkin and Crosby have given Penguins fans is incredibly rare, as Malkin’s goal made them just the second duo in NHL history to score 500 goals each. With that being said, how many of the 48 members of the 500 goal club can you name in six minutes?

Good luck!
